Remember and remind express two different ideas.
REMEMBER
Remember can be used with or without an object. It is often used with to + infinitive and with when, where or that clauses.
Remember means
- to keep sth in mind
- to bring back into one's mind
Example: I don't remember his phone number.
REMIND
Remind always has an object which may be followed by to + infinitive or a that clause.
Remind means to make someone remember sth
Example: Could you remind me his phone number?
